Direct Mail I have received:
AAA Membership Registration package
Why I received it?
I am assuming I have received this direct mail because I am a female who is about to graduate college soon. Free 24 hour roadside assistance would benefit a female who does not know how to fix my car by myself, if something would happen to it while I am driving somewhere.
After evaluation, did I change my mind about wanting to purchase it?
No, defiantly not. One I am still not graduated and my parents already have insurance for my vehicle. Even if I would not be on my parents insurance, it is something I would not buy until I am financially stable with other necessities. Granted it is a security offer, however, I am not sold on the idea as being a necessity. Mainly because my car does not break down all the time, and I would feel it was a waste of money until that one day comes when it would need maintenance. It does have a lot of good offers, however, I would also have to research other companies as well to make sure it was the most reliable and better value.

When it comes to insurance, I dread paying for it too! I think those advertisements will be more effective a few years from now.
ReplyDeleteI think that those advertisements kind of have the right idea to inform college students, but I think they should target and aim more for people 24-30 years old.
ReplyDeleteMy family remains loyal to AAA year after year. It's definitely worth it if you can afford it. It practically pays for its self after just one use. I have used my AAA service in the past to retrieve locked keys out my truck and even compensate for my drivers license after a traffic violation. The service even applies when traveling in a friends car.
ReplyDeleteAAA is awesome. They would do anything for their customers. Maybe in a few years after graduation, those types of offers will seem a bit more appealing.
ReplyDeleteI work with AAA and just want to say thanks for all the great comments! You're right, starting out on your own after graduation is tough financially. AAA can help you save money though. See www.AAA.com/discounts. You can search for money-saving offers by location or type of product/service. This info is also available in a free iPhone app called AAA Discounts. Just a thought -- maybe AAA would be a great gift idea.
